At 12:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 79004.33 down by -797.1 points or by -1 % and then NSE Nifty was at 23939 down by -307.7 points or by -1.27 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 80130.66 and intraday low of 78605.81 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24365.45 and intraday low of 23847.85.
