Zinc futures saw an uptick on Wednesday, gaining Rs 3.05 to trade at Rs 259.10 per kilogram, driven by renewed demand in the spot market.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for June delivery rose by 1.19%, or Rs 3.05, to Rs 259.10 per kg in a volume of 1,414 lots.
According to traders, increased buying interest from consuming industries and expanded positions by market participants contributed to the upward movement in zinc prices.
