Copper prices fell by 0.57% to Rs 866.70 per kilogram in futures trade on Tuesday, as participants trimmed their positions amid subdued demand in the domestic market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for July delivery declined by Rs 4.95 or 0.57% to Rs 866.70 per kg, with a trading volume of 854 lots.
Analysts said the drop in prices was mainly driven by reduced bets from market participants.
