Aluminium prices rose by Rs 2.05 to Rs 242.55 per kilogram on Wednesday in the futures market, as traders placed fresh bets amid a firm trend in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for July delivery advanced by Rs 2.05, or 0.85%, to Rs 242.55 per kg, with a total of 415 lots traded.
Analysts attributed the uptick in prices to renewed buying interest from speculators and steady demand from consuming industries.
