Shyam Metalics Foundation, the CSR arm of Shyam Metalics and Energy Ltd., has been honoured with the CSR Contribution Award at the Edelgive-Hurun India Philanthropy Awards 2025. The recognition highlights the Foundation’s impactful work in health, education, livelihood, social infrastructure, and environmental sustainability.

The award was received by Tanishi Agarwal, Head – CSR, Branding & Corporate Affairs, at a ceremony held at the Four Seasons Hotel, Mumbai. Through its community-focused initiatives aligned with the UN SDGs 2030, the Foundation has positively impacted over 25,000 lives across 43 villages in West Bengal and Odisha.

Notable programs include mobile health clinics, sanitation units in tribal regions, digital literacy and vocational training under initiatives like Kalpviksha and Uday, and support for over 1,600 children through tuition centres and scholarships. The Shyam Metalics Football Academy nurtures talent from disadvantaged communities, while the SEHAT program delivers healthcare and WASH awareness to thousands.

Environmental efforts span organic farming, water conservation, and animal welfare, complemented by infrastructure support such as clean drinking water and community building renovations.

Expressing gratitude, Tanishi Agarwal stated, “This honour reinforces our commitment to inclusive growth and sustainable development. It inspires us to scale up our efforts and continue driving real change.”
