Silver prices rose by Rs 270 to Rs 1,06,494 per kilogram in futures trade on Monday, driven by renewed buying interest from market participants.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for July delivery were up Rs 270 or 0.25% at Rs 1,06,494 per kg, with a business volume of 12,571 lots.
Analysts attributed the uptick in prices to the buildup of fresh positions by traders.
