Zinc prices rose by 50 paise to Rs 254.65 per kilogram in Wednesday’s futures trade, supported by increased spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for July delivery were up by 0.2% or 50 paise at Rs 254.65 per kg, with a trading volume of 2,891 lots.
According to market participants, the price rise was driven by fresh positions built by traders amid improved demand from consuming industries.
