Silver prices rose by Rs 261 to Rs 1,06,241 per kilogram on Thursday in futures trading, as traders ramped up their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for July delivery advanced 0.25% to Rs 1,06,241 per kg, with a trading volume of 8,311 lots.

Analysts attributed the price increase to fresh buying by participants amid improved market sentiment.
