Copper prices rose by Rs 1.35 to Rs 887.10 per kilogram on Thursday in futures trade, supported by stronger demand in the spot market.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for July delivery gained 0.15% to Rs 887.10 per kg, with a trading volume of 6,991 lots.
Analysts said the price rise was driven by increased buying activity and higher bets placed by market participants.
