Zinc prices climbed by 45 paise to ?256.40 per kilogram in futures trading on Wednesday, driven by renewed demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for July delivery rose by 0.18% to ?256.40 per kg, with a trading volume of 3,275 lots.

According to analysts, the price uptick was supported by participants increasing their positions amid improved demand from consuming industries.
