Zinc prices on Thursday rose Rs 1.75 to Rs 259.70 per kilogram in futures trade amid a pick-up in spot demand.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for August delivery traded higher Rs 1.75 or 0.68 per cent at Rs 259.70 per kg with a business turnover of 896 lots.
Marketmen said the widening of positions by participants, following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries kept zinc prices higher in the futures trade.
