Zinc prices climbed 45 paise to Rs 267.10 per kg in futures trade on Thursday, supported by increased spot demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc for September delivery rose 45 paise, or 0.17%, to Rs 267.10 per kg with a business turnover of 1,477 lots.

Analysts said the uptick was driven by participants widening positions in response to higher demand from consuming industries.
