Copper prices eased by 50 paise to Rs 880 per kg in futures trade on Thursday as traders trimmed positions amid weak domestic demand.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper for September delivery fell 50 paise, or 0.06%, to Rs 880 per kg with a business turnover of 4,933 lots.

Analysts said the decline was largely due to reduced participation and subdued demand in the market.
