GST Collections Rise 6% to Over Rs 1.74 Lakh Crore in December 2025

Gross Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections increased 6.1 per cent year-on-year to over Rs 1.74 lakh crore in December 2025, despite slower growth in revenues from domestic sales following recent tax cuts, according to government data released on Thursday.

GST collections in December 2024 had stood at over Rs 1.64 lakh crore.

Revenue from domestic transactions rose marginally by 1.2 per cent to over Rs 1.22 lakh crore during the month, while collections from imported goods jumped 19.7 per cent to Rs 51,977 crore in December 2025, the data showed.
