Aluminium Futures Rise on Fresh Buying

Aluminium prices edged higher on Monday in futures trade as speculators built fresh positions amid a firm trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), aluminium contracts for January delivery gained Rs 2.40, or 0.79 percent, to Rs 305.15 per kg, with a business turnover of 4,024 lots.

Analysts said improved demand from consuming industries and fresh position-building by traders supported aluminium prices in the futures market.
