Guar Gum Futures Decline on Weak Spot Market Demand

Guar gum prices slipped in futures trade on Tuesday as weak demand in the spot market and ample supplies from producing regions weighed on sentiment.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum futures for February delivery fell by Rs 161, or 1.38 per cent, to Rs 11,671 per quintal, with a trading volume of 49,645 lots.

Market participants said slack demand coupled with adequate supply from growing areas led traders to offload positions, putting pressure on guar gum prices.
