Crude oil prices slipped on Thursday, with futures falling Rs 35 to Rs 5,534 per barrel, tracking weak global trends as concerns over oversupply weighed on sentiment.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), crude oil contracts for February delivery declined by Rs 35, or 0.63 per cent, to Rs 5,534 per barrel, with a business turnover of 14,742 lots.
Analysts said prices eased as market participants offloaded positions amid weak demand in the spot market.
