Zinc Futures Slip on Weak Demand

Zinc prices edged lower on Thursday, with futures declining Rs 1.05 to Rs 313.55 per kg, as traders reduced exposure amid negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for February delivery eased by Rs 1.05, or 0.33 per cent, to Rs 313.55 per kg, with a business turnover of 3,524 lots.

Analysts said zinc prices were weighed down by position trimming by participants, driven by subdued demand from consuming industries in the physical market.
