RBI, ESMA Sign MoU on Information Sharing for Central Counterparties

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) and the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen cooperation and exchange of information related to Central Counterparties (CCPs).

The RBI said the agreement covers information sharing on CCPs regulated and supervised by the central bank and replaces the earlier MoU signed between the two regulators on February 28, 2017.
