Guar gum futures decline on weak demand

Guar gum futures fell Rs 59 to Rs 10,068 per quintal on Friday, as traders trimmed positions amid a weak trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for March delivery declined by Rs 59, or 0.58 per cent, to Rs 10,068 per quintal in 54,815 lots.

Market participants attributed the decline to subdued demand in the spot market and adequate supplies from key producing regions, which weighed on prices.
