Zinc futures decline on weak spot demand

Zinc futures fell by 65 paise to Rs 327.95 per kg on Friday, as speculators reduced their exposure amid weak cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for March delivery declined by 65 paise, or 0.2 per cent, to Rs 327.95 per kilogram, with a business turnover of 93 lots.

Analysts said the decline was mainly due to position trimming by participants amid subdued demand from consuming industries in the physical market.
