Copper futures rise on improved spot demand

Copper futures increased by Rs 2.60 to Rs 1,240.15 per kg on Friday, supported by higher demand in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for March delivery rose by Rs 2.60, or 0.21 per cent, to Rs 1,240.15 per kilogram, with a business turnover of 968 lots.

Analysts attributed the rise to fresh buying by participants amid improved demand conditions in the physical market.
