Silver futures jump Rs 5,465 on fresh buying

Silver futures surged Rs 5,465 to Rs 2,41,900 per kilogram on Friday, as participants increased their positions.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), silver contracts for March delivery rose by Rs 5,465, or 2.31 per cent, to Rs 2,41,900 per kg, with a business turnover of 3,201 lots.

Analysts attributed the sharp rise to fresh buying by traders, which supported prices in the futures market.
