Guar Gum Futures Decline on Weak Demand

Guar gum prices fell by Rs 12 to Rs 9,775 per quintal in futures trade on Friday as traders reduced their positions amid a subdued trend in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar gum contracts for April delivery slipped by Rs 12, or 0.12 per cent, to Rs 9,775 per quintal, with a business turnover of 41,700 lots.

Traders said weak spot demand and abundant supplies from producing regions weighed on guar gum prices.
