Copper futures slip on weak domestic demand

Copper prices declined by Rs 8.95 to Rs 1,208.75 per kilogram in futures trade on Monday, pressured by subdued demand in the domestic spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for April delivery fell Rs 8.95, or 0.73 percent, to Rs 1,208.75 per kg, with a business turnover of 422 lots.

Traders said muted demand from key consuming industries in the domestic market weighed on copper futures.
