Guar Gum Futures Rise on Firm Spot Demand

Guar gum prices on Monday advanced by Rs 172 to Rs 9,758 per quintal in futures trade as speculators increased their positions amid strong demand in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for April delivery climbed Rs 172, or 1.76 percent, to Rs 9,758 per quintal, with an open interest of 39,735 lots.

Analysts said firm trends in the physical market prompted traders to build fresh positions, supporting the rise in guar gum futures.
