GST collections rise 8.8% to over rs 2 lakh crore in March

India’s gross GST collections grew 8.8% year-on-year to over Rs 2 lakh crore in March, driven by higher tax revenues from both domestic transactions and imports, according to government data.

The GST mop-up stood at Rs 1.83 lakh crore in March 2025.

Gross domestic revenues increased 5.9% to over Rs 1.46 lakh crore, while revenues from imports surged 17.8% to Rs 53,861 crore, reflecting strong consumption and trade activity.
