Government e-Marketplace Transactions Dip 7.4% in FY26

Government e-Marketplace (GeM) reported total transaction value of Rs 5.03 lakh crore in FY26, marking a 7.4% decline compared to Rs 5.43 lakh crore in FY25.

The moderation in growth was primarily due to a lower contribution from the coal ministry, whose share in total transactions dropped to 20% in FY26 from 34% in the previous fiscal.

Despite the decline, GeM continues to play a key role in public procurement across government departments.
