The Competition Commission of India (CCI) has approved the acquisition of certain equity shares in Fleur Hotels Limited by Coastal Cedar Investments B V, along with an internal restructuring of the Lemon Tree Hotels Limited group.
Coastal Cedar, an investment holding company backed by Warburg Pincus, will acquire a stake in Fleur Hotels, a subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels that owns and leases hospitality assets.
The approved restructuring includes amalgamation and demerger of several wholly owned subsidiaries of Lemon Tree Hotels, including Hamstede Living, Carnation Hotels, Canary Hotels, Oriole Dr. Fresh Hotels, Manakin Resorts, and Sukhsagar Complexes.
Lemon Tree Hotels operates across multiple segments, catering to value-conscious as well as premium business and leisure travellers, while Fleur Hotels focuses on owning and leasing hotel properties.
The approval enables capital infusion and streamlining of the group’s structure, aimed at improving operational efficiency and supporting future growth.
