The National Health Authority (NHA) has launched the AB PM-JAY Auto-Adjudication Hackathon 2026 to drive innovation in digital health and improve claims processing under the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

The initiative aims to develop scalable, AI-driven solutions for automated claims adjudication, enhancing speed, accuracy, and transparency. Currently, only 15–20% of claims are auto-processed, highlighting significant scope for improvement.

The hackathon has already attracted over 2,600 participants, including students, startups, and professionals. Registrations are open until April 13, 2026.

To support participants, NHA will conduct a three-part masterclass series starting April 13, offering insights into the claims ecosystem and solution development.

The event will culminate in a grand finale on May 8–9, 2026 at the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, where winners will compete for cash prizes and potential collaboration opportunities with NHA.
