MCA seeks public feedback on incorporation rules, compliance framework overhaul

The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) has invited public comments on proposed amendments to the Companies (Incorporation) Rules, 2014, as part of efforts to streamline corporate regulations.

A draft notification titled Companies (Incorporation) Amendment Rules, 2026 has been released for stakeholder consultation. Suggestions, along with justifications, can be submitted via the MCA’s e-consultation portal by May 9, 2026.

Separately, the MCA, in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA), is seeking inputs on rationalising the filing and compliance framework under the Companies Act, 2013.

The consultation aims to simplify compliance across the corporate lifecycle—covering entry, operations, and exit stages. Stakeholders can submit responses online by May 15, 2026.
