Copper futures decline on weak domestic demand

Copper futures traded lower on Monday as subdued demand in the domestic spot market weighed on prices.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), copper contracts for June delivery fell by Rs 6.90, or 0.51%, to Rs 1,351.80 per kg, with a turnover of 1,113 lots.

Market participants said weaker demand from consuming industries in the domestic market mainly pressured copper prices during futures trade.
