Zinc futures slip amid weak spot market demand

Zinc futures edged lower on Monday as traders cut down their positions following muted demand trends in the physical market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), zinc contracts for June delivery declined by 15 paise, or 0.04%, to Rs 360.70 per kg, with a turnover of 117 lots.

Analysts said softer demand from consuming industries in the spot market and profit booking by participants put pressure on zinc prices.
