Premier Energies named among Top Global Grade A Solar Module Manufacturers

Premier Energies Limited has been recognised among the Top 25 global and Top 3 Indian Grade A Solar PV Module Manufacturers in the 2026 rankings released by Wood Mackenzie.

The recognition highlights the company's growing international presence, manufacturing capabilities, technological expertise, and reliability as a solar module supplier. Wood Mackenzie evaluated 48 manufacturers across 10 countries, representing a significant share of global solar module production and shipments.

The assessment was based on multiple parameters, including manufacturing efficiency, technology maturity, financial strength, supply chain resilience, ESG performance, product quality, and research and development capabilities. The Grade A classification is widely regarded as an independent benchmark for identifying reliable solar module manufacturers.

Premier Energies currently has an annual solar PV module manufacturing capacity of 11.1 GW and expects to expand its solar cell manufacturing capacity to 10.6 GW later this year. The company is also undertaking a capital expenditure programme worth Rs 12,500 crore to strengthen its upstream solar manufacturing operations and expand into adjacent clean energy segments such as inverters, batteries, and transformers.

Commenting on the achievement, Chiranjeev Saluja said the recognition validates the company's manufacturing excellence, technological leadership, and long-term reliability, while reinforcing its ambition to build a globally competitive and fully integrated solar manufacturing platform from India.

The recognition further strengthens Premier Energies' position in the global renewable energy sector and reflects India's increasing role in the international clean energy manufacturing ecosystem.
