The Reserve Bank of India has extended the regulatory restrictions imposed on Nasik Jilha Mahila Vikas Sahakari Bank Ltd. for a further period of three months, from June 9, 2026, to September 9, 2026, subject to review.
The directions were originally issued on December 8, 2025, under Section 35A read with Section 56 of the Banking Regulation Act, 1949, and were valid until the close of business on June 9, 2026.
The RBI stated that it considers the extension necessary in the public interest. All existing terms and conditions of the directive will continue to remain in force during the extended period.
The central bank also clarified that the extension of the restrictions should not be interpreted as an indication that it is satisfied with the bank's financial position.
