Guar seed prices edged lower on Friday as increased arrivals from producing regions weighed on market sentiment.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, guar seed contracts for July delivery declined by Rs 4, or 0.07%, to Rs 6,027 per quintal, with an open interest of 45,875 lots.
Market participants attributed the weakness in prices to ample supplies and higher arrivals from key guar-growing regions, which reduced concerns over near-term availability.
