Aluminium futures decline on weak industrial demand

Aluminium prices traded lower on Friday as participants reduced their positions amid subdued demand from consuming industries and a weak trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium contracts for July delivery fell by Rs 4.30, or 1.1%, to Rs 385.30 per kg, with a trading volume of 208 lots.

According to market analysts, the decline was primarily driven by position trimming by traders and easing demand from key consuming industries, which weighed on sentiment in the aluminium market.
