Zinc futures slip on weak physical market demand

Zinc prices traded lower on Friday as traders reduced their positions amid subdued demand from consuming industries and negative cues from the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, zinc contracts for July delivery declined by Rs 3.15, or 0.85%, to Rs 366 per kg, with a business turnover of 88 lots.

According to market analysts, the decline was primarily driven by position trimming by market participants, as slack demand from consuming industries in the physical market weighed on sentiment.
