IndiGo has announced the temporary suspension of services to six international destinations as part of its network optimization strategy amid softer seasonal demand and a challenging cost environment.
The airline will suspend operations to Langkawi, Krabi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, and Shanghai from July 1, 2026, while services to Siem Reap will be suspended from July 3, 2026. The temporary suspension will remain in effect until September 30, 2026.
IndiGo plans to reopen bookings for these routes from October 1, 2026, although it may restore services earlier if market conditions improve.
Despite the route rationalization, the airline will continue operating more than 1,800 international flights per week, retaining the vast majority of its international network. The move is aimed at aligning capacity with demand trends while maintaining operational efficiency, reliability, and network integrity.
The airline cited elevated operating costs and ongoing airspace restrictions as key factors influencing its decision. IndiGo said it will continue to monitor market conditions and remain prepared to respond quickly to any improvement in demand.
