The Aadhaar mobile application has surpassed 3.1 crore downloads within five months of its launch, reflecting strong adoption among users across the country, according to an official statement released on Monday.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) stated that nearly 40 lakh users have updated their mobile numbers through the Aadhaar App, while around 8.5 lakh residents have used the platform to update their addresses.
UIDAI noted that the rapid growth in downloads highlights increasing public confidence in the app and its ability to provide Aadhaar-related services conveniently through mobile devices.
"The Aadhaar App is witnessing robust acceptance across India, with over 3.1 crore downloads since its launch less than five months ago. The growing adoption reflects increasing resident confidence in accessing Aadhaar services at their fingertips," the authority said.
The app is part of UIDAI's ongoing efforts to enhance digital access to Aadhaar services, simplify updates, and improve the overall user experience through a secure and convenient platform.
