Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah will launch NAFED's auction portal, NAFEX.in, in New Delhi on June 23, 2026, as part of a series of digital and farmer-centric initiatives aimed at enhancing transparency and efficiency in agricultural operations.
Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will also attend the event along with senior officials of National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India.
In addition to NAFEX.in, the Union Home Minister will launch the NAFED-KALYAN scholarship scheme for farmers' children, the DRISHTI portal for inventory management of pulses and oilseeds, and an ERP portal to strengthen enterprise resource planning. A live demonstration of registration and auction processes on the NAFEX.in platform will also be conducted.
The NAFEX.in portal is expected to improve transparency, operational efficiency, and ease of doing business in auction-related activities by providing a comprehensive digital platform for stakeholders.
During the event, scholarship cheques under the NAFED-KALYAN scheme will be distributed to children of farmers, reflecting NAFED's continued focus on farmer welfare and educational support.
Following the launch, Amit Shah will meet NAFED's Board of Directors and review the organization's activities, progress on previous directives, and future roadmap. The initiatives are aligned with the government's vision of strengthening cooperative institutions through technology-driven, transparent, and farmer-focused reforms under the "Sahkar Se Samriddhi" mission.
