Aluminium prices edged lower in futures trade on Wednesday, with the June contract declining Rs 3.60, or 1.04%, to Rs 341.65 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX).
The contract witnessed a business turnover of 461 lots during the session.
Market analysts attributed the decline to position trimming by traders and subdued demand from consuming industries, which weighed on aluminium prices amid a weak trend in the spot market.
