Guar seed prices advanced in futures trade on Wednesday, with the July contract climbing Rs 27, or 0.45%, to Rs 6,021 per quintal on the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX).
The contract witnessed an open interest of 54,245 lots, indicating active participation by traders.
Market participants attributed the gains to fresh buying and higher investor positions, which supported guar seed prices despite a softer trend in the spot market.
