Aluminium futures gain on fresh buying

Aluminium futures rose Rs 1.75 to Rs 329.40 per kg on Thursday as traders built fresh positions amid a positive trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX), June aluminium contracts advanced 0.53% to Rs 329.40 per kg, with a trading volume of 453 lots. Analysts said fresh buying by market participants, supported by demand from consuming industries, lifted aluminium prices in futures trade.
