Government invites applications for National Teachers Awards 2026

The Department of School Education & Literacy under the Ministry of Education has invited online applications and nominations for the National Teachers Awards 2026.

The awards recognise teachers who have made outstanding contributions to improving the quality of school education through excellence, innovation, and commitment to the holistic development of students. Eligible teachers from Central and State Government schools, Union Territory schools, local bodies, and aided and private schools affiliated with recognised boards can apply.

The online application window is open from June 15 to July 10, 2026, with the award selection process scheduled to conclude in August. The National Teachers Awards ceremony will be held on September 5, 2026, to honour educators for their exceptional service and contributions to school education.
