Guar gum futures rose on Wednesday as strong demand in the physical market prompted traders to increase their positions.
On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), the August delivery contract advanced Rs 74, or 0.64%, to Rs 11,671 per quintal, with an open interest of 29,330 lots.
According to market analysts, the uptick in guar gum prices was driven by firm spot market demand, encouraging participants to build fresh positions in the futures market.
