Rupee slips 6 paise to 95.28 against US dollar in early trade

The Indian rupee edged lower by 6 paise to 95.28 against the US dollar in early trade on Friday, pressured by a stronger US dollar and higher US Treasury yields.

Market participants noted that importer-driven dollar demand and profit booking following the rupee's recent gains outweighed the supportive global cues.

The domestic currency opened at 95.27 before weakening to 95.28 in the interbank foreign exchange market.
