Coriander futures rise 3.20% on strong spot demand

Coriander prices climbed Rs 518, or 3.20%, to Rs 16,730 per quintal in futures trading on Monday, supported by firm demand in the spot market and limited supplies from producing regions.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), coriander contracts for October delivery rose Rs 518 to Rs 16,730 per quintal, with a business turnover of 18,710 lots.

Market analysts attributed the rise to increased spot demand coupled with restricted arrivals from key producing areas.
