Guar seed futures gain Rs 71 on fresh buying

Guar seed futures rose Rs 71, or 1.14%, to Rs 6,276 per quintal on Monday, as increased investor participation lifted prices despite weakness in the spot market.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar seed contracts for September delivery climbed Rs 71 to Rs 6,276 per quintal, with open interest standing at 43,255 lots.

Market participants said fresh bets by investors supported the futures market even as spot prices declined.
