Guar gum futures gain 1.48% on strong spot demand

Guar gum prices climbed Rs 177, or 1.48%, to Rs 12,129 per quintal in futures trading on Monday, supported by firm demand in the spot market and increased positions by speculators.

On the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange (NCDEX), guar gum contracts for September delivery advanced Rs 177 to Rs 12,129 per quintal, with an open interest of 59,740 lots.

Analysts said a firm trend in the physical market encouraged traders to increase their positions, supporting guar gum futures prices.
